The University of West London extracts historical past of over 140 years in teaching and professional education. Originally originated as the Lady Byron School in 1860, the institution the way it present at this time was actually started from the merger of Ealing College of Higher Education, Thames Valley College of Higher Education, the London College of Music and Queen Charlotte´s College of Health Care Studies.  The university constructed the divestment of its own location in King's Road, Reading in july 2010, (presently called Reading College) as well as in April 2011 converted its old name to The University of West London, following previous authorization from The Privy Council. The new name echos a re-focusing of the University's activities on its Ealing and Brentford locations. The University of West London is a public university.
