The University of Warwick




Warwick is the county town of Warwickshire, England. The town is situated upon the River Avon, 18 km south of Coventry and just west of Leamington Spa and Whitnash with which it looks connected.
University of Warwick, which is named after the county of Warwickshire, instead of the town, is actually located many miles north of Warwick on the southern outskirts of Coventry, close to Kenilworth.
The introduction of the University of Warwick got recommendation by the government in 1961 and obtained its Royal Charter of Incorporation in 1965. Established in 1965, the University of Warwick is regarded as the most well-known and reputable universities in the UK, with strong international recognition for its high-quality of teaching and high quality of research.
The university has 16,000 students, including 4,000 international students from over 120 countries. It provides a wide selection of subjects in Arts, Business, Computer Science, Education, Psychology, Politics, Engineering, Philosophy, Mathematics, Languages, Social Studies and Medicine. There are lots of decent facilities in the university campus which include the post office, bank, restaurants, bars, pharmacy, sport centre, library.
The University of Warwick is never been apart from the top ten universities in the UK on a number of league tables such as the Financial Times, Daily Telegraph, Times Good University Guide, Sunday Times University Guide and Guardian newspapers. It gets a member of the prestigious Russell Group of leading research-intensive universities in the UK.
